I really appreciated the information Dave provided on carpenter bees,
some of which I already knew, either from talking to professionals
(structural aspect)or through experience ("dancing"bees). I'm very happy
to learn from you that they are pollinators. Now I will not only
tolerate them but appreciate them.
We are plagued by spider mites! There is an enormous population this
year, and as far as I know they do us no good at all. Is there any
information on their control? Is there any non-toxic way of fighting
them? Do they have any natural predators?
Thanks.
