Wood bees is a term someone on the list gave them. The description
indicated carpenter bees.
Carpenter bees drill neat holes in wood for their nest sites. They are
large, gentle bees, often mistaken for bumblebees.
Mason bees, or orchard mason bees, or blue orchard bees are small solitary
bees, a bit smaller than honeybees. they do not drill holes, but
opportunistically look for appropriate sized holes. They often nest in hollow
reeds, but will use drilled blocks that humans provide.
