Hi Isabelle,

I find it easier to put the plants in first.  Then it's very easy to
arrange the newspaper all around the plants, several layers. Then I wet
the paper well with the hose.  This holds it all in place.  Finally I
mulch with the grass clippings all over the newspaper, not just in the
paths, since the object is also to keep out weeds.  Finally, wet the
whole thing down again, and in the end it forms a very nice "carpet".
