My nephew brought home a school project, A peanut, that the teacher had
him sprot, and it was sprouting very good , I was so proud of him for
showing interest in growing things,he was excited. He then wanted to
put it in my garden, I helped him make a mound and we planted it.( I
just assumed that peanuts need mounds to grow in )this was in Feb. it is
putting out great floage, above ground but I have no idea how to care
for it, I fert. it along with everything else in my garden . It dosn`t
seem to mind I use Peters 20-20-20 soluable fert. for gardens.
how long does it take a peanut plant to produce a tuber under ground? ,
I have seem blossoms on the plant last month. Does that mean it is ready
to harest or does that mean it is geeting little peanuts on its roots?
