Ah. now I see what you mean...those plastic buckets sound like a very good idea ....very practical too..I will look for them at the places you mentioned & give it a try ...most of the containers I have used so far on my tomato plants I bought from OSH garden supply....most of them are smaller tho (like one gallon or so)....I think the 5 gallon size will be alot better and the roots will have alot more room to grow.

I plant my beans in the 3 gallon buckets because beans of course do not need that much root room.
