I have struggled for a long time planting and planting and being so
disappointed with my garden. If the bugs don;t get it or the soil is not right. Well,
you understand all the things that can happen. I was very skeptical about
container gardening. But, I got on the web got on some sights and did a lot of
research and now I would not do anything else. My vegetables were wonderful. My
plants were loaded this year. I suppose it would be a lot of work and a lot of
buckets if I were going to plants an acre or two of veggies but I don;t do that
anymore. I don;t really have to. I told some ladies today that were visiting
I put in 14 roma tomato plants and I have more than enough juice and stewed
tomatoes to last my whole family and did some for another couple and I still
have a basket to do yet and lots and lots of green ones to ripen yet. It is
getting very cool here now. I had one pepper plant that I kept track of to see what
the yield would be. I got 16 peppers off that plant. I thought it was
finished but I see lots of blossoms and some small peppers. I am sure it will not do
anything more I am going to bring it in to winter over. I am very select on
what I plant and how much. I do not have to plant as much anymore. Of course you
must water more because of the containers but that is about all.
Sorry I just think when I find something that makes life easier I go with it.
