This past growing season I tried 6 different varieties of tomatoes, most of which only did moderately well, even though i irrigated all of them.
My biggest problem was split shoulders. on some of the more popular varieties, like Big Boy, Better Boy and Early Girl
I had thought that my problem was due to the summer drought, even though I was waterings at least once a week, but someone here in my hometown suggested that they thought my problem was in these Varieties.
Have any of you had these same problems and/or what varieties did well for you ?
I have heard about a commercial line of Tomatoes called Mountain Pride, Mountain Spring, Mountain Fresh. Have any of you ever tried any of these and/or how was your success?
If so do you know where to get seeds for these ?
