My favorite place to order seeds is Pinetree. I have been using them
for maybe six years, and everything I've ever gotten from them is just
right. If you have questions about their stuff, you can email them and
they answer right back. They have all kinds of unusual stuff, and what is
really nice is that it comes in small amounts at much lower prices from
everywhere else, so you can try all sorts of stuff during the same season,
if you have a limited budget. Also, the catalogue is fun to read,
although the funniest catalogue I think I've ever read is from Raintree,
somewhere in Washington, or thereabouts. They specialize in all sorts of
edible and exotic plants. No, I'm not related to anyone in Pinetree, and
they did not pay me for this hearty endorsement. Their greyzini squash
is truly the MOST prolific thing I've ever seen, and last year I tried
some wheat which was really beautiful.
