mini pumpkins

As ornamental gourds are, or should be, inedible, and therefore not
really right on veggie-list, how about small pumpkins, just big enough
for one or to people. We grow lots and find they sell well, not just at
halloween (or thanksgiving) as people usually say 'what am I to do with
all that? All you do is raise them in pots, you could even sow direct in
many areas, plant them out after the frosts and when they have grown go
round with a barrow and collect. if ripe they will keep beyond
Christmas. If you search the web you will find many pumpkin sites with
recipes, most of these can be used, or various stuffings, sausage meat,
tomatoes, almost anything savoury. You can of course make mini-lanterns.
