hi there,
i have a watermelon plant that's doing very well except that i just noticed someone's been eating one of the smaller fruits (maybe slugs?). i don't want to use any chemicals in the garden, so i'm wondering if anyone has a suggestion to prevent further damage that is organic.
also, how long does it usually take for a melon to mature? the largest one is about the size of a small grapefruit right now.
thanks,
jason
