Subject: Introduction and Asparagus question
Welcome Sue:-)
When I Started growing asparagus,I bought the year old roots from a nursery.
I burried them in a 2ft deep planter box as they directed, using a light
potting-type soil mixed with mulch and a little sand. (I do the same with
Strawberries)
When the crowns mature I cut them about 1/2 inch below the soil. They
continue to produce. I live in coastal California and get Asparagus a good
portion of the year.
P.S. I feed them @ every 60 days as well.
Hope this is helpful.
Mary,Mary:-)
