I tried it this year to scare pigeons off my brassicas.
I drilled a small hole near one edge and threaded string through. Then tied
the string to a horizontal bamboo pole(s) over the bed.
No pigeon damage. The cats don't seem to be bothered by them and visit as
usual.
The fox cubs seemed to like them to play with. I often found them pulled
off the lines and lying on the ground.
They looked quite jolly turning in the breeze and certainly made a lot of
reflections.
Quite a talking point too. :)
