Good Day, Everybody! I volunteer at a local nursing home planting flowers in the summer. Last year they planted some shrubs in front of a new entrance. Some of them were "brownei yews." There is nothing on the cards except the name. No info on how big they expect to get. I've searched the web and found nada. Sooooo... I am asking you all. Do any of you have idea about them? Thanx for your help. Barbara USDA Zone 5, Rock Island, Illinois USA
Hi Barb,
Since this is a yew, the genus will be Taxus, and 'brownii' (note correct spelling) is a cultivar of Taxus media. I'm not familiar with them personally, but the above information should help you with your web search.
