Dear Marie:
'    A native plant nursery may carry that beloved bitter fruit.   Ask
for Prunus virginiana var.demissa.
    You could also drive along the roads where you used to see the
plants and ask someone for a start.  It suckers so anyone with the plant
would gladly share.
