Thanks for the reply. I guess I can mix the Holly and conifers as the primary
part of the hedge, with Viburnums in between them as fill. I like the idea
of grasses. They would add some interesting contrast. How will they affect
the sun requirements of the Holly, conifers, and Viburnums? I thing the
larger ones would be more interesting, but would seriously reduce the amount
of sun the others get.
I always thought of clover as a weed, I’m not sure how I would use it, maybe
as a ground cover(?), although there are so many others that are prettier.
May be a small plot for the rabbit I’ve seen out there a couple of times (my
wife loves it already). I’ve also seen what I think is a groundhog, don’t
know what he’ll eat!
I looked up the Indigofera and Lespedeza. They look interesting, but where do
you get them? Do nurseries have it or do I have to search the net? They look
like they compliment each other, with the Lespedeza taking up the flowering
duties after the Indigofera starts to fade.
