Re: Kudzu??


Hello,

thanks to Kate for answering the Kudzu question.  Please don't plant
this in your garden :-)  I really should have mentioned Honeysuckle
instead of Kudzu anyway, since Kudzu is a vine.  We have a complete
understory of European Bush Honeysuckle, Morrow I think, that doesn't
belong here.  The birds like the fruit and plant the bush everywhere,
crowding out more nutritional native shrubs.  This would probably be the
real concern with thr Mapleleaf Viburnum, considering that it usually
fruits heavily (around here anyway).

We donīt have so many invasive species in Sweden..
But Rosa rugosa (from Japan) is one that has spread very much along the
coast. But it is only nice.
