Re: Azalea, 'White Lights' and 'Satan'

Sorry I couldn't find your specific plants, but deciduous azaleas need the
same kinds of conditions as their evergreen cousins. Did find that your
Slocock 'Satan' is likely one of the Slocock Hybrids grown at the Slocock
nursery in England....tidbit on Henning's page.

For more information on deciduous azaleas plus how to grow, etc., see
Henning's Rhododendron and Azalea pages....quite a bit of info. on this
site; one of the best web resources for the genus Rhododendron.....URL to
the page on deciduous azaleas is:
http://www.users.fast.net/~shenning/rhodyde.html

Deciduous azaleas are lovely plants. Mine bloom later than most of my
evergreen ones and with the later rhodies.  Make small trees with age;
quite beautiful in all seasons, even bare branches with fat scaly buds on
them for next year's show, IMO.
