Gordon - Thank you for sending the earlier message. Yes, I did get it.
I was trying to find out the difference between C.monogyna and C.
laevigata. Then I got sick. The latter seems more available around
here, so I may have to settle for that. Yes, I have heard the legend
about Jospeh's staff. Were the thorns also supposed to be ones used for
Jesus' crown of thorns, possibly? I don't remember hearing about that.
I am sorry if I did not answer you before. I have been battling with a
flu bug for some time, but hopefully it is going away. At the end of
March, my husband and I are planning a trip to Spain; then we are going
to drive across France, flying out of Paris. My coughing etc. should be
gone by then! We are trying to decide which way we want to cross France,
ending up in Brittany (where we want to see Carnac and other similar
stones). Do you know which route you would recommend - starting from
the Atlantic or Mediterranean coasts?
And thank you again for the information about Crateagus.
Anelle
