Hi all,
I would really like to plant a member of the currant family (Ribes), but
have read that
they are alternate hosts of white pine blister rust. Since I have 6 white
pines
just beginning to stretch their branches and grow, I have regretfully passed
up several
plants. Does anyone know of a species or cultivar that is resistant to
rust?
Or is there an acceptable distance between host and pine?
Witchhazel 'Jelena' in bloom today!
