Susan,  The one here in Plymouth was planted 6 or so years ago and is about 8
feet tall. I don't know what the mature height is.I'm not familiar with the 
cones but M.Dirr says "often with a purple bloom" I just walked across the
street and there are not any cones on the 2 trees in front of our Field House
but they are a very nice blue.  Steve
