hydrangea quercifolia

Mine is about 3 years old and as tall and wide. No blooms yet. Is this
typical? It is in a bit of a difficult location, dryish semi-shade. I give
it extra water and it looks healthy.
When they DO bloom, is it with the other hydrangeas? I have a BRAND NEW h.
paniculata that has blooms (in a different location) and it's less than 1/2
the size of the h. quercifolia.
If I need to move it I will, but I'd like to leave it there if it will
eventually bloom. All help is appreciated.
