Don, did you taste the berries ("relatively sweet") without an ID?
Isn't that rather dangerous?!!!

Considering they were planted in a public area and did not resemble anything in my book on Poisonous plants of the US, I felt I was relatively safe. Had I been in an unfamiliar country, I might have been more cautious. Besides, what with terrorism and the stock market, this seemed a relatively low risk for me.
