Wisteria -Reply

The first ingredient is proper pruning. Cut the lateral branches (running from the main woody stem) back to 3 nodes from the main stem.
Then early next spring stress the plant by root pruning. Take your shovel and drive it into the ground all around the plant
Do not fertilize except maybe a little potash. Fertilizer only promotes leaf growth

Good luck

 Hello Fellow Gardeners,
I'm a Newbie, so forgive me if I step on any toes.
I have a problem with my 8 yr. old Wisteria Floribunda.
I can't get it to bloom. It has bloomed only twice, and
each time the flowers were very pale, almost clear,
and sparse. It is planted next to the house, gets plenty
of water, receives partial-morning sun and full day sun
on its top. The leaves and wood are strong and beautiful
with no sign of pest or disease. I realize it is probably too
late for this year but I'm hoping for next year.
I would appreciate any help, thank you.
