I concur - it's one of those species. The flowers on my C. sericea
'Flaviramea' are small dull white coyrmbs of tiny florets at the tips
of branches - about the size of a silver dollar. Like mini Viburnum
flowers or mini centers of lace cap Hydrangea flowers. Not showy,
but these plants will flower quite heavily if you don't prune them
back.
