Title: Magnolia sieboldii I love the flowers on my Magnolia sieboldii (first photo), but I’ve always been rather disappointed that the petals begin to turn brown after only a day or two (example in second photo). Is this normal or a cultural problem? Data suggest they like a slightly acid soil, while our soil here in SE Wisconsin is definitely on the alkaline side, although I see no chlorosis in the leaves.
Any hints?
