A few weeks ago I wrote about my new Cornus kousa, and its very small
dull flowers. Many of you wrote with your experiences and
encouragement, and I thank you.
There was consensus that the flowers (really bracts) will become larger
as time passes. Two said that the flowers enlarge and brighten slowly
each season, and two others said (I think) that they will become larger
as the years pass.
In the past two weeks, my few flowers haven't changed much, except to
fade a bit at the tips. I'll take good care of it and wait until next
year.
And Harry, it is planted where it will be a star attraction viewed from
an upstairs window.
Thanks again
