Re: New Tree Paeony Care

Peggy:
Tree Peonies are actually shrubs with woody branching stems that grow
from thick roots. The leaves and flowers are produced each season on new
growth. They like humus-rich, moist, soil in sun to part shade. Actually in
zone 5 & 6 personally I would put them in part shade. Our summer sun is so
very hot. They basically like the same things that the regular peonies like.
I would plant them at least 3 feet apart to allow for spread. If I might ask
a personal question, where in the world did you get 20? None of my business,
I know, just curious. I would love to have some myself. I don't but my
sister does. She loves hers. They are also in part shade.
