Hal & Nancy,
I would suppose the society is slow because box are a slow grower...sorta
follows. ;+)
"Now what?" We do these things because we enjoy them. If your cuttings
turn out to be the elegant plant you expect, name it, make more, proceed
anyway. If it is a truly lovely plant, maybe the society will eventually
catch up with you. If they don't, no matter, if I had one of your box I'd
proudly label it Buxus 'Hal & Nancy'.
I have 3 boxwoods right now. I think they are lovely plants. No
variegateds, but lovely just the same.

Okay, Scott, let me tell you about the branch I found on my variegated
boxwood. It has reverted? back to or just to a smaller leaf with dark green
in the middle and a thin white edge. I cut it off and made cuttings that
are growing. Now what? It will make a slow growing and elegant plant
without a name I guess. I hear the Buxus Society is slow to name plants.
