Bob, I have Hollandia, deep red, and I got fruit one year with no pollinator, but there may have been one in the neighborhood...
The orange-red does sound like the "one" most folks have. They can get huge when really old (I live in a turn of the century neighborhood), but I don't suppose we'll all be around to see that!

Susan, this one is a single with orange-red flowers. I think I remember that
as being the "normal" colour. It's a pretty little thing now-hopefully it'll
still be pretty when it gets big. I'm going to put it down closer to the
road-but not close enough that it picks up salt. I should be able to see it
from the house quite plainly when in bloom. I guess I need another one to
get fruit-but a couple of six by six bushes are more than I can fit in where
they'd get full sun.
