I am looking for sources of northern grown seeds to experiment with
hardiness. I think I lost my pawpaw over the winter after getting it through
2 colder years but would still like to try again.
This year I have started Pinus bungeana, Maclura pomifera & Aralia spinosa
all from J.L. Hudson.
I do know of Sheffield seeds but they seem more geared to bulk purchase. I
am trying to do this as cheaply as possible because there will be losses,
maybe major ones. Does anyone have ideas?
Another topic: What is the best way to overwinter young tree seedlings.
Garden row with mulch or potted in a cold frame?
Zone 4b but trying for 5a.
