It's highly unlikely that you would have a controversa or a alternifolia.
Very expensive and hard to find. I paid $135 for mine, and it's quite
small.
It's almost undoubtably a alba 'Elegantissima'. Red stems in winter and
variegated foliage. Flowers are indeed, very similar to the viburnum.
You'll like it.....

> Do a web search on Cornus alternifolia and Cornus controversa. From the
flower description I'd bet it's one of these two species. There are
variegated cultivars of each and they are quite trendy at the moment.
