I pruned it back for now. I may end up having to move it earlier
anyhow.
I hate it when plants get bigger than expected! :) I have a
Blue Velvet[TM] hypericum that I planted three years ago from
a quart-size pot -- it's now five feet wide and crowding out
the Abelia mosaensis.
Or the Leptodermis oblonga that was supposed to be 18-24" high
and is at least five feet in *front* of my perennial bed. :)
Someday I'll learn!

Oh no! I hope that it recovers for you. Those are nice trees to
have in the winter time.
