Bay Tree

Bay trees are indeed Laurus nobilis and are hardy to around 20 degrees.  In my
zone 5 nursery I bring them all inside for wintering over.  Many of my
customers have kept theirs over for years, some grow them as topiaries some
just let them grow on as shrubs.
Bay trees are available by mail from Companion Plants and I believe Nichols
Nursery also has them for sale.
