Jetbead (Rhodotypos scandens)

I recently came across a reference that stated that Rhodotypos scandens
(Jetbead), was a weedy invasive.

No additional information was given.

Can anyone expand upon this?  I have a specimen in my yard and 
consider it well behaved and while not exceptional, relatively 
attractive if kept pruned..
