Chinese Parasol tree hardiness

Hi everyone,

Anyone have any first hand experience with the extent of northern hardiness
of the chinese parasol tree Firmiana Simplex? A search of the internet
revealed contradictory information. One source says it is only hardy to zone
8 another all the way to zone 6. BTW, the information also says that it is a
NON-INVASIVE species.
