Keep in mind that I haven't spent a lot of time looking into this, but
I'll give my two cents worth anyway. (Two cents being better than no
response from anybody.)
I've considered having hardy eucs at the nursery. I have a vague
understanding that there is only one that I would really consider for
our area, which is zone 8. I would find it with Northwoods Nursery out
of Molalla, Oregon. I don't have an address, as I keep that info at
work.
The reason I don't carry it is that it is only marginally hardy. The
bigger it gets, the harder it is to shelter. So I feel that I would be
doing a dis-service to a customer who babies the begger for 6 to 8 years
and then have it freeze to death when it's finally 15-20 feet high.
It's not like digging up a posey and pitching it. It's back breaking
work to dig up a 10 foot rootball.
So, there is my opinion. I wouldn't do it in zone 5.
