Rex begonia
-----------------
What are the cultural requirements of Rex Begonia (begionia
x rex cultorum) hybids.
These are a complex hybrid of varied origin.
Seeds are dust size round specks ( 1 1/2 million per ounce).
They are of habit rhizotomous; usually propagated from seed
or leaf cuttings (leaf slash or leaf squares)
Grown primarily for ornamental foliage
As a group they are commonly protected from direct sun and
require more warmth and humidity than other begonia.

Joel
