I have 3 dapnes 1 Carol Mackie they are not in a particularly protected
spot and I did not heavily mulch and they made it through a typical
Michigan winter with no dieback. We had a few nights with -20
degrees.

Yow-zer! A daphne in Maine! Bring it in. There isn't enough mulch in
state to protect it! They can go down to 12 F.
