I hope someone can point me in the right direction. I'm looking for an
evergreen tree which would be similar in looks and habit to a Scotch pine
but I hear most require diligent spraying to fend off a myriad of diseases. Is
there a tree like this which would do well in zone 5a and clay soil (planted on
high ground and not in an area with standing water) which is generally
not subject to so many diseases? I currently have 5-15 year old blue & black
hills spruce which to date have not had evidence of any diseases.
Thanks so much in advance for any guidance.
