RE: propogating dogwoods


Mary Lou,

On this time of the year, you better look for some Kousa fruits. Seed is
plentiful, and you'll get LOTS of plants that will grow fast and strong,
that you will be able to trade or even sell. Much better than a cutting.
Other different thing would be if you'd wish to propagate a selected Kousa
clone (i.e.: the strong pink variety 'Satomi'). Then, grafting or cutings
would be your only bet...

If you have access to fresh fruits, try with seeds. Easy and good fun!
