A simple way (almost organic) to get rid of woody invaders.
Take a small container of 'Brush & Weed Killer' and a small paintbrush, and
clippers or loppers.  Cut the trunk close to the ground.  Paint the raw stub
with the brush killer.  It requires only a little bit, doesn't get on
anything else, above all doesn't get into the air to drift to anything else,
and kills the root.  Much easier than trying to pull or dige the roots out.
