I’m going to start posting a photo from my garden each day.

Today is Halesia carolina var. carolina.

I bought it from a local nursery when the plant wasn’t in bloom about 25 years ago — they had no idea what it was and sold it for a song.

I knew what genus it was, but was thrilled to key it out to H. carolina once it bloomed. It’s an endangered species here in Illinois.

Tiarella ‘Spring Symphony’ has also been putting on quite a show.

18″ wide clump, in front of Euonymus fortunei ‘Canadale Gold’.

Convallaria majalis ‘Golden Slippers’ has been a favorite in the garden this spring.
