"Skunk Cabbage"

Someone on the perennials-list has asked how Skunk Cabbage (unclear 
whether they meant Lysichiton or Symplocarpus)    spreads. Other than 
obviously by seeds, I was wondering, do either ever propagate 
vegetatively, such as offsetting?
