Tony - I don't have any experience with the eastern skunk cabbage
(Symplocarpus) but I did find last year that some Lysichitons whose main
growth tip rotted out produced copious numbers of "pups" which, for the
most part, were easily separated and potted up in late summer. Of course,
I wasn't working with the only specimen in existence.....good luck...
