The spelling of epithets containing the conjunction 'ae' (as in
cannaefolium, violaefolium, etc) is treated as a correctable orthographic
error in the I.B.C.N. and is transliterated into 'i' (the pronounciation of
'ae' being a long 'i'), hence the correct spelling is violifolium,
cannifolium.
