Hello,

Indeed, the sections are distant within the Anthurium genus, but for example 
A. × macrolobum is a hybrid of two species belonging to different sections 
(A. pedatoradiatum from the section Schizoplacium × A. clarinervium from the 
section Cardiolonchium)
