[Aroid-l] Hot Water Treatment for Nematodes in Amorphs

Hello everyone,

My Amoph collection was hit by nematodes last year and I tried

Furadan with mixed success, so I am now going to try using hot water

treatment. In my research on the Internet, dipping tubers in 50

degrees Centigrade hot water for 15 minutes was effective for many

nematodes, but shorter times at higher temps could also be used if

the plant material can withstand higher temps. It will of course be

more convenient using the latter, however, will Amorph tubers be able

to survive higher temps? If so, till how high?

I will appreciate hearing from people who have tried using hot water treatment.
