The torsion of young leafs

Hi all!

Many aroids (for example, Aglaonema, Anubias, Syngonium, etc.) have
vernatio convolutiva of the formation of leafs in buds. But the torsion of
young leafs is different for different plants. However, I not found any
information about factors, which influence on direction of torsion of
young leaf. May be this feature is constant within a species. What do you
think about it?

Thanks,

Dmitry Loginov
