Mike,
Most Arisaema species grow well even in zone 5. Lots are growing at
Fenton, MO and Kansas City, MO.
But they even grow at Thunder Bay, Ontario where winters get to 40 below.
It's also likely that many species of Pinellia will do well. Of course,
Symphlocarpus and Lysichiton will
thrive in the cold. And the Arums will do well.
I just saw your second post. You could try Colocasia but it would be
iffy if your ground freezes. In
pots you could bring t in when it goes dormant. Some Arum look tropical -
sort of.
