I'm pretty sure that is just a yellowing leaf from the plant with the same
shaped leaves above the Anthurium.

I have been very curious about the discussion of the yellow-orange object in
Zach's photo. Today I ran it through a photo enhancing program to see if I
could see more detail and found I cannot find the appearance of a spathe and
spadix. In my enlargement, and please remember quality is lost when an
enlargement this extreme is made, there is nothing that looks like a spadix.
In fact, both edges of the object appear to have involute vernation and be
rolling inward. This leaves to suspect the object is not a part of the
Anthurium in Zach's photo but something belonging to another plant. Judge
for yourself.
